SENS Web Style Guide

SENS Style

Introduction

In the SENS Web Guidelines, you read the recommendations for making your web site meet the standards that SENS has established for web sites on its servers. The standards include recommendations for:

  • Construction,
  • Design,
  • Usability,
  • Accessibility,
  • Maintenance, and
  • Professionalism.

The criteria are not necessarily listed in order of importance. While usability and accessibility are arguably the most important, construction and design are listed first because their integral components are XHTML and CSS. If your site has a strong background of valid XHTML and CSS, usability and accessibility issues will be minimized. The purpose of the SENS Style Guide is to give you some ideas and resources that you can use to make your site easy to use for as many visitors as possible. Follow the links below to get detailed information on each area of the recommendations, as well as links to tools that can help you create great web sites!
