Please note that 32-bit operating systems can only be upgraded to other 32-bit operating systems, and 64-bit operating systems only to other 64-bit operating systems. Going from a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit operating system, or vice versa, will require a complete re-install of the system, including applications and data.
